ndrea Lee, a rising star on the LPGA Tour, is highlighted by her debut victory at the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee is a winner at all levels. She has won nine times at Standford University during her collegiate time and was ranked for 17 weeks in the top spot of the world's Ladies Amateur. She won the Mark H. McCormack medal in the year 2019 and was the top-ranked amateur female at the conclusion of the season. Later that year, she made the switch to professional. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. Her first golf game was as a child at age 5 under the tuition from her dad James. At age 8 she started competing in tournaments, and within 4 years, she had earned 50 junior titles. She was able to make the cut at this year's US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. with her father as caddie. She was just 15 when this happened. Lee was invited by sponsors to attend the 15th ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour but missed the cut by one shot. Lee was part of the United States' Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup, and Women's World Amateur Team Championship. In the year 2016, she enrolled at Stanford University and became its most decorated sportsperson at the moment. In the following three years she earned nine individual championships. Lee was forced to leave Stanford University and turned pro in 2019. Her record for amateur golf included 17 weeks in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was awarded the Mark H. McCormack medal in 2019, after finishing the year as the highest-ranked amateur. Lee had four hole-in-ones and one albatross while an amateur. The first time she played, she had two top-10 finishes. She finished 7th in the final round at Kingsbarns Golf Links in 2020 at the AIG Women's Open. Lee's debut LPGA Tour victory came in 2022 Portland Classic. She dedicated the victory to her grandfather who passed away Min. "He was always called me a champion, and he did not doubt me." I am extremely grateful to her and am sure that he's watching today.
